Hey you! Yeah you! Yes you! If you are looking for a movie to watch this weekend, well I think I have a few in mind that I could recommend.
I am a self-confessed movie addict. When I was not yet working, and I had all the time in the world to do whatever I wanted - one of the things I did was to watch movies non-stop. There are movies that I would never get tired to watch over and over again, and there are some that I would watch a couple of times just because I found something I liked from the movie.
Take for example the last movie I watched over the weekend entitled : TWO NIGHT STAND starring Miles Teller & Analeigh Tipton.
The story is about (According to IMDB): After an extremely regrettable one night stand, two strangers wake up to
find themselves snowed in after sleeping through a blizzard that put
all of Manhattan on ice. They're now trapped together in a tiny
apartment, forced to get to know each other way more than any one night
stand should.
Personally, this movie was surprisingly awesome. A simple story line with spot on ideas about sex and relationships in general. For me, it was about two people trying to figure out the right formula for intimacy and I totally agree that if one is vocal to his/her partner, not only the bed relationship but the whole relationship in general will be healthy and strong & long going.
I would say that this falls on the category of "a light rom-com movie just enough to tickle your mind but not stress you in a serious manner." One of the perfect movie to watch if you are looking for just entertainment and relax way to chill off some time.
Here are some of the quotable quotes I won't forget from the movie:
“You said that he met you in high school, right? So,
he thinks that you’re a certain type of girl. And he thinks that, he
will meet that same type of girl later in his life when he is ready.
But, when he’s ready, that girl is not gonna be there. He has no idea
how rare you are.”
“-I never felt like I needed a job to define my life.
—Do you like your job?
-Since when are you supposed to like your job?
…I think our generation catastrophically misunderstands that.
Look, Megan, listen. You can’t just, like, drop a bomb on me like,
‘Hey, maybe you’ve never made a girl come in your entire fucking life,’
and then say you don’t wanna talk about it.
I think women are most honest, actually, when they're trying to hurt somebody's feelings.
There were also those spot on "sex tips" that were actually applicable in real life. There's still a lot of lines that I would want to share with you guys, but if I'd do that - then this will end up as a spoiler and not a movie recommendation at all.
Oh. This is where my blog post ends. :)

What Works Best with Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3
There has been a lot of bad reviews about Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3, some reviews were through blogs and some were through the word of the mouth. Even I myself, proved that many people do not trust this product because whenever I answered that Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3 was the product I used whenever I experienced breakouts - people were quick to say that:
1. It isn't advisable to be used (Why was it manufactured in the first place?)
2. It will harm/damage your skin (Only if you used it wrongly.)
3. It will only worsen the acne on your face (Clearly, you have no idea how it works.)
The list goes on, but these were the usual reaction I got from people whenever I said that I used Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3.
First, let us read the information written in the packaging.
Maxi-Peel #3 (Tretinoin & Hydroquinone Formula) Exfoliant Anti-Acne Skin Lightener #3 - Advanced 60ml
And this is the result after 2 months of Using the Product.

you may start using the product. Do not apply on sunburned or abraded

Why I Used Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3
I first tried this product on year 2011. This method was taught to me by a friend, and I did what she told me because I visibly saw the good effect of the product on her face.
When I was in college, there was that time of my life that I had too many acne, in tagalog term "para akong tigyawat na tinubuan ng mukha.", I am dead serious when I tell you that it was a worst case of acne problem.
The acne's were big, reddish and itchy - it really was a bad acne problem to the point that I even ditched classes whenever my acne's made me feel bad. At that time, I felt hideous and dirty. I have tried a lot of products that would make them disappear - Neutrogena, Ponds, Eskinol, Olay, name it I may have tried it - unfortunately none of it worked.I even agreed to my grandmother's suggestion to consult a hilot, because maybe I was being cursed(kulam) - it's hilarious right? But could you blame me if I got frustrated because it has been months since my acne problems started and everything I had used just didn't work.
Here was a photo I have when acne was my worst enemy...
This was the clearest photo I could get, I really didn't take a lot of photos when I was having my acne problem, but here you could still see that they were so visible and big that my cheeks looked like swollen cratered moon. And this is the result after 2 months of Using the Product.
How Do I Use Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3?
I used the product twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
At night, wash your face with your desired soap, I use an RDL Tawas Whitening Soap. I put 4-5 drops of Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3 on a cotton ball and wipe it all over my face and neck ONCE (don't wipe the cotton ball on your face over and over again as if you were erasing a pencil drawing." Wait for 5-10 seconds before applying A LOT of Mena Facial Whitening cream (which cost around Php20), by A LOT I mean to say that the more Geisha-ish you looked, the better.
In the morning, wash your face with your desired soap and towel dry it. Put 1-2 drops of Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3 on a cotton ball and wipe it on your face once (note that I use less drops of Maxi Peel in the morning because our face is more expose to sunlight and using less drops would lessen the possibility that it would burn our face). 5-10 seconds after applying the exfoliant, put a good amount of sunblock on your face (I use Maxi Peel Sunblock Cream SPF20), then apply a thin layer of Mena Facial Whitening cream. (Note: You can apply powder if you desired, but there are two options for this - 1. Use baby powder only, because using cosmetic powder or foundation may not have a good reaction with Maxi Peel, 2. Try not to apply anything else on you face for at least the first 2-3weeks.)
Patiently do this routine for 2 months, and you will have a better, smoother and lighter skin.
What I experienced while using Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3:
1. Skin Peeling (it was expected since the product removes dry and dead skin, basically what was peeling of was your dry and dead skin)
2. Itching (I have experience slight itching from time to time for the first 2 weeks, however, do not scratch it. Slight pat it or wipe it with tissue or cotton if you can't contain the itchiness of your face)
3. Stinging (for the first 3 weeks I experience slight stinging whenever I applied the product, what I do to ease the stinging is while I applied Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3 on my face, I face the electric fan *wink*)
4. More acne on the first week (because the product is discharging all the dirt inside our pores which causes the pimples in the first place, do not panic if more acne was sprouting out your face - it is a normal effect of the product)
The Do's and Don'ts:
1. Do not let your face be exposed directly from the sunlight's heat. Always bring an umbrella if you can't avoid walking under the sun.
2. Avoid eating slimy/fishy foods when your face is on the itchy stage (fishes, eggs, chicken etc)
3. Always drink water (12-15 glasses a day would be better)
4. Always use sunscreen.
5. After 2 months of using the product, STOP! Let your face rest for 1 month. After a month, repeat the routine but this time use Maxi Peel Exfoliant 2.
Note: After a year, I stopped using the product because I was confident that I won't have the same acne problem anymore. I stopped applying anything on my face that's why my face became darker that my body. (That was 1 thing I regretted when I stopped using the product). After I realize that my face was dark, I tried another product that a friend referred to me again, the Beauche set.
It has been a year since I stopped using anything on my face since I was able to maintain a clean, smooth, and fair face after using Beauche. But now that I started to live in another country (Dubai), my face started to have a lot of acne again, (see picture below for reference). Since I am busy working here, I really don't have the time and patience to use the Beauche set again (because a lot has to be applied on the face and most of the time, once I get home - I just want to rest already).
That's why I decided to use Maxi Peel Exfoliant 3 again, and I am on my 3rd week now. I will update this blog once I finished the 2months routine. :)
Teehee!

Dear Readers, sorry if it took me too long to update this blog. It has been a busy last quarter of 2014 for me. Anyway, without further adieu, here are my end result photos.

Sketching : Inspired by the Architectural Building Designs at Dubai Internet City
Some of the buildings around Dubai Internet City
Sketch #1 (Hardly sketches)
Sketch #3 (Doodle sketches)
Earlier, I posted that I was exploring Dubai Internet City. Actually I was trying my luck by submitting my CVs, from one office to another. I was lucky to land my first interview on the same day. I have 3 hours of spare time before the interview. I decided to wait for my mom’s lunch break at a coffee shop on Dell’s building. I was sitting near the window and looking outside. Across the cafe was the IBM building. I stared at it for a while and realized that most of the building there has the same architectural structures. What I noticed about most of the buildings there are they have similar structures, rectangle or square in shape (very masculine because of the pointy edges) and the buildings are mostly made of glasses (that looks like mirrors to me). Then I took out scrap papers in my file case and took the pen mom put in my bag earlier that morning. I was happy the the ink is blue, perfect for the mirror like glasses that inspired me. I began sketching just so I can kill the boredom I was feeling while waiting in the cafe. Annnnd Voila! I know, it’s a rough ‘rough sketch’ but hey, I think I really translated those buildings into clothes. (at Dubai Internet City)

Today, At School... (T.A.S.)
Hi gorg!!
So today is October 11, 2013, Friday and my class is fashion design. I was an hour late but it was not a big deal for teacher Odg (besides, it's my loss that I wasted an hour to do my plates). I sat beside one of my friends, Erica, who is too busy with her mixed media plate and I wanna share with you all the awesomeness of the image she is copying.
1:00pm and I'm back at my table to continue doing my plates. Do you know that feeling after eating so much and you're too full and sleepy???? Yes?! I do! That's what I felt as soon as I sat and stared at my paper. I removed my glasses, scratched my eyes a few times, looked to my left, then to my right and then downwards then scratched my eyes again. Stared at nowhere for a few moments, grabbed my phone and took a few camera shots....
And because I love my outfit today, and lots of my classmates also liked it, I just had to take a photo and do my Outfit of the day.
AWEEEEEEESOME!
Awesome
right!? (I said awesome at least 3 times now because of this image!) I got
easily distracted on doing my plates because I was really amazed by how good she
draws the image and I cannot help but watch her (hehehehe, I am really that bum
in minding my own work, yeah). She has started putting the colors on and I
cannot wait to see her finish it! (I admire her talent; I admire everyone who excels
in sketching and drawing and/or anyone who's good in creativity and arts,
because I have ZERO talent in drawing guys! That's why I enrolled for the
fashion design class; I have my hopes high that I will somehow learn something)
And then the bell rang.. (RINNNNNNNNNG!) Its 12noon and it'sssssss Lunch time!!!!! Went to Jollibee to grab a to-go meal and I chose the new Spaghetti value meal with jolly hotdog and coke, it cost me P85, pretty cheap huh.
buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp!
Erica is ignoring the world by listening to good music and focusing on her plate while I find my own way to fight the boredom and sleepiness...
this is my 'what the fuck am I doing?" face (Erica still focused on her mixed media plate)
Finally, I went back to doing my fashion sketching plates ( it is very hard for me, uggggh! I told you, I have zero drawing skills and my patience to focusing on details is very little) I had to show teacher Odg every drawing I make before marking permanent pens on it because I DO NOT WANT TO RE-DO ANYTHING if ever I make even a small mistake. I drank a lot of water at this time so I had to visit the washroom, I had to pee! When I got back to the classroom, Ms. Terry was making some announcement. What was she talking about? Ahhhhhh! Classes are suspended at 3pm! (It was around 2pm when she made the announcement) Hooray!
Before we go, Izzy wants a photo, because she wasn't in the two photos above (I told you to sit beside me but you ignored me! haha)
it was kinda blur because my hand is a little shaky, because I am hungry AGAIN. Oh! and hello to our photo bomber classmate! Mehehehe.
I call this Splash of Stripes B&W edition
Oh! One more thing, just because I stressed out that I was really bored and sleepy today doesn't mean I am that irresponsible to not finish my plates! As a proof, I present you this...
Voila! I finished 3 plates today!!!
Teehee! xoxo Kim
PS: If you think that this is a non sense blog, I am not sorry! Just needed to let my thoughts out today. Yihaaaaa!

SLIM'S Fashion & Arts School 52nd Foundation Day
This October 2013, we are celebrating our school's founding year. It has been a glamorous fifty-two years of making the best of the best aspiring fashion designers and dressmakers for the fashion industry, either locally or internationally. Every year, Slim's features the best work of students for the year and I would love to share with you all some of the prides of Slim's Fashion & Arts School for 2013.
photos grabbed from Slim's Fashion & Arts School (Official Page)
We also had the chance to meet other students and had the chance to mingle with them. Right then and there I realized, Slim's is not just a school who tries to create great fashion designers and dressmakers, it is also a place where you can freely express yourself, be who you are and still be accepted by your teachers, mentors, classmates and schoolmates. I am currently at the preparatory class for fashion design and dressmaking and I am hopeful that next year I will also be able to showcase my work. Of course that is, if I will be one of the best student of 2014. I am praying and working hard for it.
with some of my classmates, schoolmates and at the farthest right, our teacher mentor for fashion design preparatory class, Sir Odg.
with Izzy and Erica, my super friends at school; we look so decent here but if you could just scroll down a little bit more.....
THIS IS HOW WE REALLY ROLL! Teehee!

Kim of All Trades
"Jack of all trades, master of none" is a figure of speech used in reference to a person that is competent with many skills but is not necessarily outstanding in any particular one. (wikipedia)
Of course I do not intend to live up with that figure of speech but because of some reasons I needed to be the "Kim of all Trades" and here's the story...
I plan on revamping my online shop because I already know how to sew pieces of clothes and I plan on selling them. I was so lucky that my mother's friend, a photographer, offered to do the shoot of my clothing line. I had a couple of weeks to prepare for the photoshoot. I was really excited because for the first time I will be able to execute my skills "professionally" (yes, quoted and unquoted because I am no pro at all, mehehehe). As I've said from my previous blog, I am fond of watching Youtube tutorials and I have pocketed a few ideas on make up techniques and hairstyles.
hair, makeup, and style I did and chose for the first look
Since I do not have the budget to hire any stylist, make-up and hair stylist, I have to do it on my own. I also have to do the styling of the clothes because I made the clothes and no one would understand the look I am going for but me. It wasn't hard for me to do it all because it gives me joy whenever I make women pretty and glam! Seeing the whole look of my model almost made me want to cry, but of course I hold back the tears because most probably other people in the studio would have laughed at me.
behind the scene: forgive my haggard face as this was already around 7pm, it has been 9 hours since we started the shoot
behind the scene: as I was doing some minor retouch to my model
behind the scene: hey there Mr. Photographer! :)
behind the scene: goofing around with our model, hihi
Making clothes is my first love but I have decided to do these make-up and hair styling on the side, besides I have a lot of time to spare (because I am jobless) Teehee!
some of our final photos from the shoot
I hope you like it! Teehee!

The Dream Catcher --That's me!
A few months ago, I
graduated in college and finished marketing management. Months before our
graduation, I have nothing to do at home but to watch Youtube videos, I watch
make-up, hairstyle and DIY tutorials. When I became addicted to watching DIY
videos and tried to practice what I learned, I started doing it for myself, my
cousins and posted it on my Facebook and Instagram.
here are some DIY shorts I did and posted on my social media accounts
I received a lot of great feedback and my mom told me that I should try to sell them online. Then I saw a bazaar advertisement online and I decided to join since the venue is very near our place. I was very nervous because a few months back, I joined my first bazaar and it wasn't really of that success. But when I joined the bazaar at Greenbelt, my DIY shorts ALMOST sold out. Few pieces were left and I was really happy because most buyers gave very heart warming compliments regarding my work and it hit me!
these are photos from the bazaar I joined last May 21013 - Blooming Summer Sale Bazaar at Greenbelt 3 Park
I know what I really wanted to pursue, the business of fashion. I know that this is a very competitive industry but I am willing to push all my luck and give my very best just to survive! this is what makes me happy and I am going to do whatever it takes.
Now, I am enrolled in a local fashion school here in Manila and I know that this is the first step to catching my dream.
